Into the Void
This is why you feel like no one is listening.

You Know Why Your Posts Feel Like Shouting Into the Void?
I see this question everywhere, especially from beginners. They want to blame the algorithm, “AI slop,” and every other thing they can imagine instead of correcting the real problem.
It has nothing to do with your skill or any other external limiting factor. It has everything to do with how you engage others.
Engagement is based on building relationships.
In order to build relationships, you have to build connections. In order to build connections, you have to communicate.
I spent a long time trying the engagement hacks.
The psychological CTAs. The inspirational one-liners designed to trigger shares. The carefully crafted manipulation tactics everyone swears by.
All of it felt like talking to a wall.
Then one day I posted a simple, honest observation. No tricks, no cleverness. Just a real thought I had.
People actually responded. Not because I used the right words, but because I sounded like a human talking to other humans.
Engagement isn’t a tactic.
It’s what happens when you stop performing and start connecting.
The system that actually works is stupid simple.
Comment on other people’s stuff before you post your own.
Share work you respect.
Give way more than you ask for.
Be patient.
Most people say “I tried that” but they gave it three days and bounced when nothing happened immediately. Building relationships takes time. It requires patience and work.
But it works every single time. Then it compounds over time. Next thing you know, you have an audience.
There’s no shortcut. There’s only what works and what does not.

“I tried that”. I actually enjoy commenting. It’s not a tactic for me. Maybe it has to do with our personalities? It’s weird to view connection in my mind as a tactic because I’m typically empathetic. Maybe some people aren’t as much so they look at it as a task?
