I really need to do this, but I already don't have enough hours in the day to get done what I want or need, and taking these breaks makes me feel as though I'm slipping even further behind.

But the rational part of my brain knows it makes sense, so thanks for the reminder.

My advice would be to track the time you spend doing your tasks for a couple of weeks. Based on that information, you'll see what actually helps move the needle and what stalls you. From there, of course, you're going to want to do less of the tasks that hold you back.

Most of the time, it's just a matter of taking notice, especially if you always feel behind. Identify the problem and put the boot to it!
