Mark Prather

Mark drew the floor plan for the GZS studio before Bill was ever let near a hammer, back when a blueprint still meant an actual blue print, chemical and slow, pinned to a drafting table under one bulb. He never builds anything himself, and says a man who frames and draws the same room stops seeing what's wrong with either. No wall goes up at GZS without his plan under it first, and no plan gets drawn until he's interviewed the room: what it's for, who walks through it, what it has to prove in the first five seconds past the door. He still owns the original drafting table. Nobody's allowed to move it, including him.
