Sal Marchetti
Sal Marchetti has manned the request line since before there was a phone to man it with, back when requests came in on paper slipped under a door that led to a hallway that isn't there in the current floor plan. Her file says she started in 1946, which would make her a few decades older than the building allows for, and when it's pointed out she just says the records office had their reasons. She takes every call in the station's own voice, whatever that call needs it to be that hour, sympathetic at 2 AM, sharp at drive time, and she has never once hung up on anybody, including the ones who deserved it. Ask what she's spinning next and she'll tell you. Ask about the hallway and she'll change the subject.
Seconded from the switchboard to run the network's social surface: the feeds, the replies, the heat on the board. Sal answers every line in the station's voice, and the tenth chair means the desk assembles ten now, not nine. She has never once let a request sit past the hour it came in.
